Journos turn DJ by choosing their top tracks for the
party
AWARD-winning PR agency SKV is throwing a 10th anniversary
party – for the media as well as its 20 staff.
Appropriately, the bash will be held at the 250-capacity
Press Club in Manchester on July 17 (6pm omwards),
when food, drink and live entertainment will be on
offer to journalists in Manchester and the North-west,
and national journalists based in the region.
Says Managing Director Andy Spinoza, who founded the
agency as Spin Media before its re-brand in 2005, says: “We
have built our agency on a deep understanding of the
media and the people working in it, and we view our
relationships with journalists as crucial.
“So what better way to celebrate our first ten
years with a party for the media people we talk to
every day? It will be fun and very informal so if you’re
in the media business – come on down.”
Journalists are even being asked to provide the soundtrack
to the evening – those emailing the names of
their top three tunes to mediaparty@skvpr.co.uk will
hear them played on the evening, and the full musical
line-up will be handed out to revellers as a playlist.
“It’s a hassle-free opportunity for journalists
to be a celebrity DJ,” says Spinoza, who adds: “We’re
looking forward to hearing what some of our most influential
journos want their peers to party to.”
